The Buzz

Who's

been by.

Vedam is porous by design — writers, scientists, sportspeople, and civic leaders visit through the year to teach a class, run a workshop, or address an assembly.

Programmes

How visitors come to campus.

The Founders Lecture

One evening a term, an accomplished practitioner in the arts, sciences, or public life speaks to the whole senior school — and answers questions until the questions run out.

Assembly Guests

Weekly assembly hosts a smaller guest — a journalist, an entrepreneur, a doctor, an artist — for a fifteen-minute address and a Q&A with the audience.

Field Visitors

Sports coaches, working artists, and subject specialists spend a day on campus each term — running workshops with the clubs or squads in their discipline.

Alumni Days

Vedam alumni return through the year to speak with the seniors about university, careers, and the years just past school. Their perspective lands differently.

Cricket · A morning on the field

Brett Lee

The Australian fast-bowling great spent a morning at Vedam — walking the grounds, unveiling our sports plaque, and meeting the cricket squad. His message to the students was simple: turn up, work hard, and love the game.

Music · An evening at Vedam

Kailash Kher

Padma Shri Kailash Kher joined us for an evening of music and conversation. He was felicitated on stage, presented with a guitar by the school, and spent time with students — reminding them that music, like learning, is a practice of listening.
