Burettes down, notebooks open. Senior students run titrations in full strength batches, learning that precision — not speed — is what makes an experiment count.
Creativity Takes Courage
A backdrop for the annual day grows across the studio floor. Art at Vedam is given real scale, real materials and the freedom to make something publicly imperfect.
Under the Microscope
Biology moves from diagram to slide. Each student takes a turn at the eyepiece, sketching what they actually see rather than what the book says they should.
The Games Room
Carrom boards, racquets and a shelf of gear kept within reach. Break-time games teach patience, turn-taking and the good grace of losing well.
Choosing the Next Book
Shelves at eye level, sorted by reading level, and no adult deciding for them. Choice is the first step we take towards independent readers.
The Computer Laboratory
One workstation per student, no sharing and no waiting. Digital literacy is taught as a working skill — typing, research, coding and the judgement to tell a good source from a bad one.
The Swimming Pool
A clean, supervised pool on campus with coached sessions through the season. Every learner starts with water confidence before they ever race a length.
The Games Lounge
Snooker and table tennis, kept open for club hours and the end of a long day. Unstructured play is where friendships across year groups usually begin.
On the Tennis Court
Rallies at the campus court, part of the weekly sports rotation. Coaching runs from grip and footwork right through to inter-house match play.
The Early Years Playground
Slides, climbers and open lawn set aside for our youngest learners. For a four-year-old, this is where balance, courage and turn-taking are actually learnt.
