Every Vedam Grade 11 and 12 student spends six weeks of their summer inside a real workplace — because eighteen is too late to first meet a payroll, a deadline, or a difficult client.

Medicine & Health
Placements at Lucknow's leading hospitals — shadowing consultants in cardiology, orthopaedics, and paediatrics. For students seriously considering medicine.
Law & Public Policy
Chambers, district courts, and policy think-tanks in Lucknow and Delhi. Interns leave with a case file, a brief, and a sense of how a court day actually runs.
Media & Creative
Newspaper desks, design studios, film production houses, and radio stations. Real deadlines, real bylines where earned.
Business & Startups
Family businesses, early-stage startups, and consultancies. Placements shaped by whatever the intern is willing to actually own.
Engineering & Tech
Software teams, product studios, and manufacturing floors. Every intern ships or builds something they can point to.
Social Impact

How the programme runs
Not a ceremonial fortnight.
Six weeks, real work
Every internship runs a minimum of six weeks with a genuine deliverable — not a certificate for showing up.
Placement, not lottery
Vedam's career office matches students to hosts based on interest, capability, and the host's actual need.
Debriefed on return
Interns present to a faculty and peer panel in July — what they did, what they learnt, what they'd change. Half the class picks next year's placement from that panel.
