Beyond Academics

Clubs,

held long.

Twenty-plus clubs, chosen young and held long enough for a child to become genuinely good at one thing outside the classroom.

What's on offer

The current club list.

Clubs run twice a week during the school day. This list refreshes each year based on faculty specialisms and what our students ask for.

Debate & MUN

Weekly parliamentary rounds, MUN prep circles, and inter-school circuits across Lucknow and Delhi. Coached by faculty who've judged nationals.

Robotics & Making

Arduino, 3D printing, and full-build competitions. The lab is open until 5 PM — most of the seniors are still there at 4:45.

Film Club

Short film production from writing to edit. Screens its year-end reel to the whole school on the last Friday of March.

Quiz Circle

Bowl-of-questions Tuesdays, quiz-league Fridays. Fields teams at Tata Crucible juniors and the CBSE cluster.

Creative Writing

A workshop, not a class. Publishes 'Vachan', the school's termly journal of student poetry, fiction, and essays.

Baking & Culinary

Two afternoons a week in the school kitchen. Learns knife skills, food-safety, and how to feed twenty people from one recipe.

Astronomy

Telescope nights on the Sitapur campus grounds, monthly sky-map briefings, and an annual overnight star-party in November.

Coding & CS

Python fundamentals through Grade 8, web and app builds through Grade 10, competitive programming for the senior CS crowd.

Eco & Sustainability

Runs the school's composting programme, the tree census, and the annual Earth Week campaign.

How clubs run at Vedam

Depth over dabbling.

One club, one term, minimum

Children pick a club at the start of each term and stay with it for the full term. Depth beats sampling.

Progression, not participation

Every club has beginner, working, and advanced tiers. Moving up is earned, not automatic.

Public work, once a year

Every club produces something public each year — a debate final, a film reel, a printed journal, a robotics demo — so effort meets audience.

See a club in session.

Campus visits on club days let you sit in on a rehearsal or a build — with permission.
