Beyond Academics
Arts, taken
seriously.
Not enrichment, not extras — a full arts programme with resident faculty, weekly practice, and a public performance year that everyone rehearses toward.
Six disciplines
What we practise.
Every child studies at least one performing art and one visual art each year, from Nursery through Grade 8. Specialisation begins from Grade 9.
Indian Classical Music
Hindustani vocal, tabla, and harmonium under resident gurus. Weekly baithaks; annual gharana concert at Founder's Day.
Western Music
Piano, guitar, drums, and choir. Rock band programme for senior school. Two public showcases each year.
Dance
Kathak in the classical wing; contemporary and folk in the studio. Full production choreography for the school's annual dance evening.
Theatre
Weekly workshops in movement, voice, and text. Two full-scale productions each year — one Hindi, one English — with student-run tech.
Visual Arts
Painting, sketching, printmaking, and ceramics in a naturally-lit studio. Portfolios begin in Grade 9 for those considering art school.
Design & Craft
Woodwork, textiles, and digital design. Powers most of the sets, costumes, and posters the rest of the arts programme uses.
The year on stage
Four public evenings.
The whole arts programme builds toward four moments — Founder's Day (September), the Hindi play (November), the winter music concert (January), and the dance evening (March). Parents are invited to all four.
